• Surface - Norris gave out midterm grades today. I have a C in the class. I’m not surprised, but…oh christ, someone give me strength to pull my grade up somehow…
• I was hugged for the first time by someone I met here at college! If we don’t count the best friend bear hug I gave to and received from Astrid a couple of days ago, this will count as the first hug I’ve gotten in like two months. Actually, I got two hugs today! (Both from Lauren—one at the beginning of the day in Surface and the other before we parted in the late afternoon in front of Brandt). My need for human contact has finally been sated for the time being…
• Art Worlds - I still feel really bad about how terribly my paper turned out. I’m not looking forward to seeing what King will have to say about it. The good thing is that we went to a private collection today and met with the collectors (Bill and Pam Royall). Their collection is very eclectic and my favorite by far (out of all the galleries/collections we’ve seen thus far) and they’re very charming people. One of the many things I like about VCUarts is that we have frequent field trips, and they’ve all been within walking distance. It’s just a totally different, very interesting, and very pleasant experience to be walking around and mingling in the city with interesting people (a.k.a. my peers).
• Going back to Northern Virginia tonight!!! It’ll be the first time in at least a month since I last went back home. I’m looking forward to being back in the 703.

Also totally irrelevant but today I was so honored that you solicited my opinion and maybe you don’t hate me after all and that makes me so happy but oh my god I’m so silly
